Our Practice Facilities
Take your golf game to the next level at El Conquistador Golf’s practice facilities. Perfect for beginners and seasoned players alike, our facilities include a full-length driving range, a large practice putting green, and a short game area with a dedicated practice bunker. It’s everything you need to sharpen every aspect of your game. Public range balls and practice are included with your paid greens fee. Use of the members-only side of our driving range is included with our Golf Membership.
For those looking to dedicate the whole day to improvement, daily range passes are available for $25 per person, with youth passes for ages 17 and under at $10. Monthly passes are just $100 per person, and annual passes are $699 per person. You can purchase these right in the golf shop.

- Feb–Mar: 6:30am – 5:30pm
- Apr–Aug: 6:00am – 5:30pm
- Sep: 6:30am – 5:00pm
- Oct: 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Nov–Jan: 7:30am – 5:00pm
*Closed every Wednesday at 2pm for maintenance.
Don’t have your clubs? No problem. El Conquistador Golf offers club rentals, including Men’s and Ladies’ sets for right and left-handed players, with stiff and regular shafts. Junior sets are also available. Call the Golf Shop at 520-544-1801 to reserve your set or learn more.

Meet Our Instructors
Troy Jewkes
Troy has been teaching golf for 18 years. Troy brings experience and enthusiasm, while teaching players of all ages and abilities, including junior golfers. Troy will not “change” your swing. Instead, he will work with his students to help golfers unlock their abilities. Troy enjoys all sports and spends time with his children in Oro Valley.
Cesar
Cesar is a PGA Member and the 2025 PGA Southern Chapter Player Development Award, Southern Chapter Patriot Award, and Southwest Section Player Development Award recipient. He is passionate about helping others enjoy the game of golf and the opportunities it can create. His teaching philosophy focuses on simplifying fundamentals, building confidence, and making each lesson engaging and fun. Cesar works with players of all ages and skill levels, from juniors just starting out to experienced golfers looking to fine tune their game. Outside of teaching, he enjoys hosting community events, mentoring youth, and sharing how golf can open doors on and off the course.
Josh
I’m passionate about helping players enjoy the game and improve with confidence. My teaching philosophy centers on simplifying fundamentals, creating clear and achievable steps for growth, and making every lesson enjoyable and productive. I enjoy working with golfers of all ages and skill levels, whether you’re new to the game, looking to build consistency, or ready to take your performance to the next level. Alongside instruction, I look forward to supporting our golf operations, enhancing the member experience, and contributing to a welcoming and engaging golfing community here at El Conquistador.
Nathan Nixon
Golf has played an integral part of my life since the mid 80’s. Since then, Golf has changed tremendously in too many ways to list, but what has remained are Golfs Fundamentals, (Grip, Aim, Stance, and Posture) which provides the foundation for every golfer that’s ever played or taught the game… Using Golfs Fundamentals as my teaching foundation allows my students and I to easily follow a set of parameters that work for any human wanting to develop and progress in a timely manner. What really piques my interest is being involved with any golfer at any age or level that is looking to take their game to new heights…hope to see you soon!
Gaby Benavides
I have been playing golf for 20 years. I fell in love with the game at the age of 7 and have been teaching children and adults for 5 years. After graduating from the U of A and ASU with two Bachelor’s and two Master’s, I have learned how to integrate different learning styles into each one of my lessons in order to have an the best overall learning experience for every individual.
